Enjoy the Fall Season on Maryland’s Eastern Shore

Come visit the Eastern Shore in the Fall. See spectacular colors from mid-September to mid-November. Enjoy the Fall Festivals which are family friendly with great things to keep the kids occupied.

Take in the First Annual Chesapeake Film Festival in Easton, 9/19-9/21. View the Oxford Ferry Boat Race on 9/20 and stay for the birthday-themed, lighted boat parade at night.

Visit the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge Open House on 10/4. Take a bird walk, watch caterpillar races, and check out wildfire fighting equipment.

Calling all Maritime Enthusiasts! Don’t miss the mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival at the Maritime Museum in St. Michaels. There will be hundreds of boat builders exhibiting their skiffs, kayaks and canoes on 10/4. Want more boating events? Take a day trip to Annapolis for the US Sailboat Show 10/10-10/13. The US Powerboat Show, in Annapolis 10/16-19, provides the opportunity to board the newest models and see the latest in technology and navigation equipment.

Bring the kids to Tilghman Island Day on 10/18. Compete in Oyster Shucking, Jigger Throwing and Crab Picking Contests. Another not to miss weekend for the whole family is the “Fall into St. Michaels” weekend festival held 10/24-10/16. Get into the spirit of Halloween with the costume parade and enjoy this traditional Fall Festival.

Remember to call Maritime Properties to reserve one of our waterfront properties to use as your “home base” while enjoying all the Eastern Shore has to offer this Fall.
